Skydiving

Jet Boating

White Water Rafting
Thrilling adventure in the best white waters. The must-do Kaituna waterfall is the highest commercially rafted waterfall in the world at 7 metres. Raft for a day on the Rangitaiki or Wairoa Rivers . Grades 1-5 rafting options for everyone. Get even closer to the water and try the individual sledges. Friendly, expert guides will ensure you have an unforgettable day on the water.
Kawarau Jet
Speed, spins and adrenaline. Kawarau Jet offers a variety of jetboat tours taking you to places you can't reach by car. Try the Maunpirua Hot Springs trip, across Lake Rotorua to the Oahu Channel, onto Lake Rotoiti . Soak in the hot pools that are only accessible by boat. Or go out to Mokoia Island and walk around the tracks and bathe in Hinemoa's pool. Or just go out for a fast and furious 30 minutes thrill ride on Lake Rotorua .
The New Zealand Caterpillar Experience
This is the only attraction of its kind in the world. Follow the distinctive role that global icon Caterpillar had in shaping New Zealand and its people. All ages will enjoy the 60 minute indoor journey through a slice of New Zealand 's history. Over 30 impressive refurbished Caterpillar and other vintage vehicles are staged in authentically recreated landscapes and innovative settings, surrounded by specially created audio visual displays and storyboards. Not just a load of old bulldozers.
Mountain Biking
Mountain biking heaven. Rotorua has some of the best mountain biking trails in the world. There are hundreds of kilometers of tracks to choose from, ranging from beginners grade 1 to expert grade 5. Ride from Rotorua city to the start of the tracks or drive out to the forest to begin your ride. There are many mountain biking events arranged all year round for enthusiasts of all skill levels.
Bikes can be hired from most of the cycle shops around Rotorua or bring your own bikes with you. We will store your bikes in a secure room.
Hire a bike from Avanti plus CYCLEZONE, just a couple of minutes walk from Victoria Lodge. They have a range of bikes to choose from. They have good quality hard tail bikes at $45 for 4 hours or $60 for a full day. For the experienced riders, Cyclezone has very good quality Specialized FSR full suspension bikes at $120 for 4 hours or $150 for a full day. They will also do deals for multiple day hires. Hire includes a helmet, puncture kit and a pump.
Dirt Biking
For and unforgettable motorcycling experience over rolling farmland and through native forest trails, with plenty of challenges on the way. The scenery is amazing, with views over the the region's beautiful lakes to the ocean. Trail bikes are easy for all abilities to ride, including the complete beginner. Performance bikes are suited to riders with some riding experience. All tours include a full set of safety gear and a modern dirt bike of your choice. Bikes range from 50cc kids bike right through to 450cc performance bikes. No licence or experience required.
Quadbike ATV
Rather have four wheels than two? Bring the whole family for a ride, go for a one or two hour ride, half or full day out. Try the mud tours. The scenery is amazing and easy or technical trails suit all levels of experience. All protective gear is supplied.
Off Road NZ
Looking for something totally different? Enjoy taking part in first class, pulse-racing, adrenaline pumping adventure activities to drive you to the absolute limit. You have found it!
Off Road NZ offers awesome off road 4WD adventures and entertainment for adrenaline junkies, thrill seekers, vehicle enthusiasts, couples and groups of friends. What you get is unique, fast, fun and above all… absolutely safe.
You drive the 4WD Bush Safari, You race the Sprint Cars and You hang on to the Monster 4X4 Thrill Ride plus loads more adventures. Off Road operates every day wet or fine. All wet weather gear and protective equipment is provided.
Luge
Ride the gondola to the top and luge down the scenic track, the intermediate track and the advanced track. Ride to the top again in the chairlift. Once is never enough.
Zorb
Climb inside an 11 foot high inflatable transparent sphere. Slip, slide and spin inside the Zorb all the way down the hill in 30 seconds. A cross between a water slide and a rollercoaster.
